Educational apps for the ipad

This page includes a few of my favourite apps for primary as well as links to app lists. It was inspired by Mark Anderson (@ICTEvangelist) who has written a blog post for secondary, which is well worth a look whatever age you teach! Get them talking!

Try mouthoff, Talking Tom (a cat) or Talking Ben (a dog) for some talking fun. Be aware that there is a windy dog in talking Tom.

Singing Fingers lets you fingerpaint with sound. Just touch the screen while you make a sound, and colorful paint appears. Touch the paint to play back the sound again. If you need convincing, watch this amazing youtube clip.

  • Monkeyin around - fun stuff for little hands!
    • Run run chicken - great little game
  • Angry birds - great reward/motivator
