OK so this is not particularly new, but this is a great directory of interactive books that are available online. You have to have a TES login, but it's free and is a great resource for all teachers. Well worth signing up for! 

Another interactive story writing resource here from the Carnegie library. Or try cartoon-maker. Another fab free resource - and it's easy to use!

More digital story telling tools here we've tried Kerpoof, Toondoo, Lego comic and storyboard and can confirm they are fab. Don't forget about my old friend myths and legends from E2BN too!

Create a word cloud like the one on this blog using wordle. It's another free web tool! Use it in class to inspire writing, generate ideas or as a revision aid.

Many of us have created our own avatars, so why not use them in class? The 4/3 children at our school have really enjoyed creating their wild selves and playing with the lego.
